300 Rise Of An Empire Seize your glory with the latest character poster for 300: Rise of an Empire, which focuses on Themistokles, played by Sullivan Stapleton. In case you forgot, we’re talking about the brave Greek general who battles an invading army of Persians in the upcoming action adventure. Head inside to check him out… Based on Frank Miller‘s latest graphic novel Xerxes, and directed by Noam Murro, the movie takes the action to a fresh battlefield (on the sea) and revolves around Themistokles who attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. Not an easy job, ’cause his enemies are mortal-turned-god Xerxes, played by Rodrigo Santoro, and vengeful commander of the Persian navy Artemesia, played by Eva Green. The rest of the cast includes Lena Headey, Hans Matheson, David Wenham, Igal Naor, Callan Mulvey, Jack O’Connell and Andrew Tiernan, and the movie is set to hit theaters on March 7th, 2014.
