Check out this pretty cool (New York Comic Con) poster for Spike Lee‘s upcoming Oldboy remake, which is set to hit theaters next month. As usual, this new image centers on Josh Brolin aka Joe – a man obsessed with vengeance, who (once again) has a little message for all of us: ask not why you were imprisoned, ask why you were set free!
In case you forgot, the movie follows an advertising executive who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement.
Lee directed the pic from a script written by Mark Protosevich, but as you probably already know, the whole thing is actually a remake of the 2003 award-winning South Korean film of the same name.
Here’s the rest of the plot:
When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.Beside Brolin who plays that executive named Joe Doucett, the rest of the cast includes Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, James Ransone and Samuel L. Jackson. As you already see from the poster (click to enlarge) – Oldboy opens on November 27th, 2013.
