A week ago we shared some pretty cool posters (and the very first clip) from the upcoming rom-com Charlie Countryman, which opens in limited theaters this November. Starring Shia LaBeouf and Evan Rachel Wood, the movie will tell us the story of a guy who will do anything to protect the girl he loves. Head inside to check him out…
Fredrik Bond directed the whole thing from a script written by Matt Drake, which revolves around LaBeouf’s character – a guy named Charlie who falls for a woman who’s claimed by a violent crime boss.
He’s just a normal guy until he meets and falls in love with a Romanian girl named Gabi, played by Wood, after he sits next to her father on a plane that resulted in his death.
Unfortunately – she is married to Nigel, a violent and mentally unstable crime boss with a gang of thugs at his disposal.
Here’s the rest of the story:
Armed with little more than his wit and naïve charm, Charlie endures one bruising beat down after another to woo Gabi and keep her out of harm’s way. Finally his exploits of blind valor create such a mess that he’s left with only one way out; to save the girl of his dreams – he has to die…Also starring Mads Mikkelsen, Melissa Leo and Rupert Grint, Charlie Countryman (previously known as The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman) is set to hit limited theaters on November 15th, 2013. As usual – click on the poster to take a better look at LaBeouf and Wood, and stay tuned for even more updates!
